Reset Password

Reset Password

Permits a user who has forgotten their password to reset it, without administrator involvement.
Optional feature, enabled per deployment. When disabled, the Forgot password? link is not shown on the login page, and the reset pages are not available.
Requires an email address on the user account.

Reset Password

Selected via the Forgot password? link on the login page.
A reset link is emailed to the address on file for the account.
The confirmation message is the same whether or not the account exists, so the page cannot be used to discover valid usernames.

Username	text	Username of the account to reset.

Choose a New Password

Opened by selecting the emailed reset link.
The link is valid for 30 minutes and may be used once. Requesting a new link invalidates any outstanding link for the account.

Name	Type	Description
New Password	text	New user password. Must be at least 8 characters.
Confirm Password	text	Confirm new user password.
